On the cecm it will say what plug is what, they are all labelled. You take off the correct one. A and D. And remove the pink locking plastic, find pin 5 on plug A, it will be empty, plug the wire in. Do the same for D6.  Put the locking plastic back in, pop the plugs back into cecm and check xenons with shutters in vcds. Job done. I'll find u the guide too

On the headlight adapters, I noticed my extra wires to CECM don't have the pin connectors on the end of them. Do I have to buy them. What size do I need?

Strange - did you buy new or did someone badly rip them out from a previous install? You will need to create pins for the ends of the wire.

Yes strange. The ones I have look brand new, have vw stamps on each of the plugs and have rubber grommets to prevent water entering in. The additional wire is green not yellow on mine but does not look like it's been cut.

Thanks for showing the other picture. Can I crimp on the connector, what size would I need and where would I get it from?

Thats what i was hoping you was going to say ha-ha.

Just i replaced my candle power lights for xenons last week and i had the exact same plug kit as above but wasnt intrested much in having the shutters working so chopped the wire and tidyed it all up.

Have you had to use Vag Com at all to program them or anything?  :happy2:

To be honest, you're missing out!

I ran without the shutter wire connected to my cecm for 6 months and I wasn't in a big rush. When I finally got around to it and lit up a B road, I was very happy with the result! Everything is lit up, I can barely drive with a halogen car now...
